Combination locks are convenient in the sense you do not need a key. 

However, there are styles as shown above, that allow you to have a key entry as well. 

Depending on the type of combination lock, you can have several different codes that can open your door. This can be very beneficial in a situation if you have a cleaning service, or pet care services etc... coming into your home where you can give them there own code for access.
