STRIPPING
Weather stripping also accounts for thresholds, door sweeps & the weather strip itself.
All these variations can go on the bottom of the door, around the door frame or on the ground under the door. You might be wondering the difference between the three.
Thresholds- Installed on the ground, closes a gap or opening between the bottom of the door & the floor which keeps air, rain & snow from getting in. Most times works in conjunction with a door sweep.
Door Sweeps- Installed on the bottom of a door are available in rubber or brush & again, closes a gap or opening in the bottom of the door which can help protect against moisture, dust & insects.
Peel & Stick- Available in foam or rubber & usually comes with a door sweep. The peel & stick goes around the frame of the door which assists in the sealing process of the door.
